Extraction Rate
The Airflow iCON 30 has an excellent max extraction flow rate of 118m3/hr, which is around 32 litres per second, possible thanks to its mixed flow impeller. This model is the second version in Airflow’s iCON range and therefore is more powerful than the iCON 15 but less powerful than the iCON 60, in terms of power and extraction flow rate.
Power Consumption
This mixed flow fan has a maximum consumption rate of just 13 Watts. It also has a great SFP Efficiency Rate of 0.38W/l/s, ensuring that this extractor runs smoothly and efficiently.
Noise Level
The Airflow iCON 30 outputs a low sound level of 34.5dB at 3m. The noise level that is deemed quiet for extractor fans is around 30dB, which isn’t too far off the mark. This fan is fairly quiet, especially for such a powerful extraction rate.
Design
This great extractor fan was manufactured from quality thermoplastics. Most extractor fans are square so it is refreshing to see this circular design! The iCON 30 also features cantilever fixing lugs – meaning it can be installed on uneven surfaces if necessary.
One of the main reasons this fan is so sought after is due to the modish iris shutter that is also functional as it helps prevent backdrafts. It’s activated by the brown actuator, which warms up and propels onto a white plastic clip, which leads to the iris shutter opening up. On this note, all of these pieces need to align correctly when you are installing them – especially when you place the cover onto the fan itself. This is due to the fact that, if it is carried out incorrectly, your fan will seem like it isn’t not working correctly.
To top this off, Airflow also has three great cover options to match your bathrooms interior; Silver, Anthracite and Sandstone!
Overrun Timer
This model does not have a run-on timer feature. If this is something you’re after, you will need to get the Airflow TM iCON Plug-in Timer Module as well. It is very quick and easy to install and is much less expensive than replacing the whole fan.
Alternatively, you can get them both together here.
Humidity Sensor
The iCON 30 does NOT have a humidity sensor or humidistat. If this is something you want, you will need to get the Airflow HTM iCON Plug-in Humidity & Timer Module and connect it. This one is handy because it also has a timer control option as well.
Otherwise, you can get them both together here.
Other Control Modules
A top feature of the iCON range is the control modules available. Even though you will need to purchase these separately, they allow great customisation for whatever application you have. Below is a table that explains each module along with its respective product code.
Warranty
This extractor fan by Airflow includes a 3-year warranty. Make sure you check out their help section if you have any issues after purchasing.
